The “Praxis medica cum theoria”, a series of 17 books on various fields of medicine and medical theories by French physician Lazare Riviére, were translated from the original Latin to French by M.F. Deboze, and English by Nicholas Culpeper, Peter Cole, Abdiah Cole, and William Rowland in the 17th century. The texts were reprinted often into the mid-18th century.
